Walter Holder Sr.

Walter Holder, a devoted widower husband, of 65 years, 10 days, father, grandfather, great-grandfather went to be with Jesus on November 7, 2020 from natural causes. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was born in Giles County, TN. He came to Birmingham, AL in Sept 1947 for work. He was employed at McCain Manufacturing Plant for 31 years and self-employed until age 93 years. He was a resident of Remlap, Al and a member of Huffman Church of Christ where he attended faithfully. He is preceded in death by his precious wife Pauline M. Holder, his parents, Jeff Davis Holder and Sara McConnel, 8 brothers, a daughter, Faye Roberts, and a grandson Doug Roberts Jr. He is survived by his only son Walter C. Holder Jr. (JoAnn), of DeLand, FL, 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be on Saturday, Nov 14 at Noon at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with visitation from 11am until service time. Burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
