Mr. W. J. "Bill" Williams of Springville, AL passed away November 12, 2011. His infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Flora Edna Williams; his parents Luther and Zettie Williams and a sister, Dorothy Jean Lovell. Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Debera Williams Keith; son-in-law Arnold Keith; granddaughter, Paige Keith Finney and husband Jared and great grandson Matthew Finney. Survivors also include a brother, James Williams (Linda), and sisters Thelma Shirley, Bettye Tucker, Bonnie Chamblee (Hubert), Margaret Self (Lawrence) and Margie Simmons (Ray), all of Springville, along with a host of nieces and nephews and a very special companion Sue Smith.
Mr. Williams was a veteran serving in the Army during WWII. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Springville and attended New Lebanon Baptist Church, Odenville, AL. He was a member of Springville Masonic Lodge #280, a member of the Jack's "Breakfast Club" in Springville and an active member of the Odenville Senior Center. The family will receive friends Monday, November 14th from 5 - 7 pm at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 15th at 1 pm at Jefferson Memorial. Interment will follow at Springville City Cemetery. Reverend David Wilson and Reverend Rick Hinkle officiating. Memorials may be made to New Beacon Hospice. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
