Vivian Payne

Vivian J. Payne, born on July 30, 1929 to Rev. Ed Johnson and Lucille Stone Johnson, passed away on May 29, 2015 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Thomas Payne, Jr., their oldest son, Glenn Payne and grandson, Daniel Payne. She is survived by two sons, Rick Payne and Frank Payne and one daughter, Phyllis Payne Roddam (Ray), 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, who she was close to and was dearly loved by them all. She was a long time caregiver to her husband for nearly 38 years and a longtime member of Huffman Baptist Church, The Mary Sunday School Class and the Happy Heart Choir. Services will be on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 2 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. The burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Larry Smith will be officiating over the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Liz Moore Low Vision Center at St. Vincents East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
