Virkie Miller

Miller, Virkie L., age 81 of Center Point, AL peacefully returned to the Lord on January 12, 2022.  She was born on December 22, 1940 in Vina, AL, attending Hamilton High School.  She and her husband moved to Birmingham in 1962.  She was a member of Huffman Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her Husband; Bobby Miller, Son; Michael Miller, Parents; Virkley and Elsie Childers, Brothers; William, Charles and Ronnie Childers, Sisters; Kitty Usery and June Miehl.  She is survived by Daughters; Anita (Charlie) Davis and Angel (Marc) Brewster; Daughter-in-law Tracye Miller; Granddaughters; Amber (Jarred) DeGrado, Savannah (Bruce) Shaw, Haley (Brad) Williams and Jenna (Patrick fiancé) Miller; Great-Grandchildren; Jacob, Colyn and Kameron DeGrado, Mikey Shaw, Davis and Charlie Ann Williams, Sisters; Joyce Miller and Jan Ozbirn, Sister-in-law; Nancy Childers as well as many Nieces and Nephews.  Her family was her heart.  As a wife, mother and Gran, she provided, laughter, strength, loyalty, honesty and most importantly unconditional love.  She retired from SouthTrust in 2005 after many years of dedicated service.  Before working at SouthTrust she spent many years in the retail industry and Birmingham Aero Services.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 12 p.m. in the Chapel at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, AL, with a visitation at 10 a.m.  Graveside to follow.
