Virginia Veasey

Funeral services for Virginia Ruth Sherrer Veasey, age 90, will be held at 10am Monday, June 22, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235 with Rev. Don Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 5pm until 7pm Sunday and prior to the service at 9am Monday. Mrs. Veasey passed away June, 18, 2015 in Birmingham, Alabama. She was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Birmingham and was retired from the Social Security Administration with over 23 years of service. She was a member of Lake Highlands Methodist Church in Birmingham, First Methodist Church of Center Point, Alabama, and Grace Bible Church in Center Point and she attended Brewster Road Alliance Church in Birmingham and First Baptist Church of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul H. Veasey, her parents Claude W. Sherrer and Rosalee Garner Sherrer, her sister Glenna S. White and her brother Wayman G. Sherrer. She is survived by her sons David A. Veasey, Sr., and Don Martyn Veasey, and by her grandchildren Alan Veasey, Susan V. Norris and Ginny V. Yates and their families.
