Virginia Black

Virginia C. Black, age 89 of Birmingham, AL passed away on December 27, 2016. She was born on June 29, 1927 to Sarah and Robert Carter. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Irondale, where she loved attending her Sunday School Class. She retired from Westinghouse. She enjoyed Ball Room Dancing and she volunteered to cook and help those in need. She took pride in caring for her family and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 48 years, J T Black, daughter, Kaye Renfro and her son, Donald J. Black. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Bailey (Terry); grandchildren, Tara Lawton (Richard), Brandi Renfro (Gina Ray), Ryan Renfro (Christie), Michael Renfro and Jay Renfro; great grandchildren, Sarah Renfro, Kanyon Ray-Renfro, and Hayden Renfro and many nieces and nephews. Services will be on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Derek Jacks and Brother Buddy McGohon will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
