Vickie Lynn Chambers

Vickie Lynn Chambers passed away from this life to her heavenly home peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the age of 68. Vickie was born to parents, Rueben and Carol Jones Melton, of Leeds, AL on May 27, 1950. She attended Leeds High School. After graduating she attended Jefferson State Community College and Graduated with a nursing degree. Vickie served as a NICU nurse at UAB and Children's of Alabama for several years. She was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Richards Chambers; her mother, Carol Jones Melton; her brother, Larry Melton. She leaves behind to cherish her memory includes her father, Rueben Melton; her sisters, Karen Melton Wilhite (Buddy) and Renee Melton Dewberry; her brothers, Randall Melton (Joyce) and Dwight Melton, as well as, nieces, Wendy, Vanessa, Amber and nephew, Joshua; great nephews, Jack, Teddy, Ian, Kody and Hank. The family would like to thank the staff of Trussville Health for the care they provided to her during her two years stay. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13th at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
