Verbon Gibbs Jr.

Verbon Gibbs, Jr., aged 76, of Odenville, AL, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 14, 2019, surrounded by his loved ones.  He was born on February 6, 1943, in Birmingham, AL, to Christine and Verbon Gibbs, Sr, and was married for 55 years to Margaret (Peggy) Gibbs.  He owned Gibbs Welding Company of Odenville, AL.  Mr. Gibbs is survived by his sons Jeff Gibbs (Serina), Brian Gibbs (Cherry), and Chris Gibbs; grandchildren, Lauren Gibbs, Justice Gibbs, Jackson Gibbs, Savannah Gibbs, and Dawson Gibbs.  He is preceded in death by his wife and parents.  Visitation will be on Monday, November 18, 2019, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Trussville, AL.  Graveside services will follow at 3:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East, Rev. Larry Wimberly officiating.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Lakeside Hospice, 4010 Masters Road, Pell City, AL, 35128.
