Venola Burgess

Venola "Nola" Ray Burgess, age 90, passed away on January 22, 2017. She was a dedicated Christian and a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Roebuck Plaza. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lile "Buck" R. Burgess. She is survived by her three children, Donna Nichols (Jimmy), Kathy Christophersen (Chuck) and Alan Burgess; brother, Robert "Bob" Ray (Barbara); two grandchildren, Derrick Wingard and Bre Anne Holland (Heath) and her great granddaughter, Lynde Seay. Visitation and funeral will be on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. There will be a committal service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Donation can be made in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association.
