Veda Woods

Our Lord Jesus graciously welcomed Veda into Heaven early Sunday Morning July 6, 2014 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was also welcomed by those that went before her; her Dad, Thurston W. Bowling, Sr., her Mom, Miriam W. Bowling (Nanny), her younger sister Miriam (Mimi) Bowling Clarke, her niece Abby Kelly and her step nephew Wade Youngblood. Veda leaves behind her husband Scott Woods, her son Jared Woods (Janie, and granddaughter Jade), her son Austin Woods, sister Gayle Bingham (Mike), brother Wayne Bowling (Pattie), brother-in-law Luke Clarke as well as many nieces and nephews. Veda and the family are so very grateful for the love, care, attention and deep friendship of Ginger Pruet, Lynn Friedman and Delores Cox. Without your help, this journey would have been much more difficult. She also leaves behind a wealth of friends that have loved her and been loved by her. Everyone that knew Veda has experienced her strong faith and belief in the power of prayer. The services honoring her life and love of Christ will be at the Trussville location of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM with the service beginning at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2014. In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to Fish and Loaves Ministry PO Box 270.
