Toney Carroll

Toney Wade Carroll, age 62, passed away on May 7, 2009. Toney graduated from St. Clair County High School in 1965 where he was a member of the basketball team. Toney retired as owner of Carroll Trucking. He also worked as a transportation agent for Victory Freight Lines and Connors Steel. He attended Clear Branch United Methodist Church. He enjoyed his grandkids, fishing, Lake Martin, Conway Twitty music and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Lee Baker Carroll and Fenley Benson Carroll and his brothers and sisters, Horace Carroll, Mimmia V. "Sis" Britnell, Roberta Ware, Leon Carroll, Benson Carroll, G.W. Carroll, Bobby Carroll and Jimmie Mize. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Edna Owens Carroll; daughter, Sharon Bradshaw (C.W.); son, Wade Carroll (Christie); mother in law, Mary Frances "Buck" Owens; sister, Sue Peoples (Booty); grandchildren, Trace Bradshaw, T.J. Bradshaw, Courtnie Carroll, Cameron Carroll, and Layla Bradshaw, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9 from 10:00 AM i�½" 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services beginning at 12:00 PM with Debbie Barrett officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Pallbearers will be Ryan Carroll, Rod Carroll, Randy Carroll, John Owens, Bryan Peoples and Greg Carroll. Honorary Pallbearer will be Barry Brown, best friend.
