Tommy Knowles

Tommy Knowles of Trussville, formerly Gulf Breeze Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at home with his family. Tommy was born in Birmingham, Alabama on September 6, 1936. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Quinn Knowles; his father, Jesse Howard Knowles; sister, Billie Jean Knowles Wright; and infant grandson, Robert Shannon Vaughn.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Caroline Golden Knowles; son, James Knowles (Maria); son, Mark Knowles (Ruth Ann); daughter, Susanna Knowles Vaughn (Dale); brother, Jimmy Knowles (Peggy); and sister, Patsy Knowles Morgan. Tommy had seven grandchildren:  Brandi Knowles Smith, Candace Knowles Smith, Melissa Knowles Gilmore, Michelle Knowles Dailey, Michael Knowles, Savannah Vaughn Moon, Olivia Vaughn Hoffman, thirteen great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville on Friday, February 11, with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 and service following at 2:00.
