Thomas Mclendon

Mr. Thomas Lee "Tommy" McLendon, age 66, of Trussville, passed away on February 3, 2015. He was a retired paint and auto body specialist. He served in the US Marine Corp; served on the church vestry, and enjoyed helping people and doing maintenance work around the church, and loved his AA family. Mr. McLendon is preceded in death by his parents, Ann and J.W. McLendon and R.W. "Mac" McLendon; his brother, Tuck McLendon. He is survived by his wife, Elaine McLendon; his daughter, Teresa Hopkins; his sons, Roger Ridings (Julie), Dicky Combs (Dawn), Robert Combs (Melanie); his sisters, Laurie Nabors, Cissy McLendon Isaacs; his grandchildren, Blake, Lindsey, Whitney, Jessica, Brent, Brooke; his great grandchildren, Rylie, Madison, Colton; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 11:00am at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, with The Rev. Canon Joe Gibbes officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 90 Parkway Dr., Trussville, AL. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
