Thomas Light

Thomas “Tommy” H Light, age 86, passed on October 22,2022 to be with our lord. A member of Northpark Baptist Church for many years and a deep believer in the Christian faith. Born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 26,1936. Attended high school at McGill Institute in Mobile. A graduate of Birmingham Southern College and Marine Corps Veteran. Tom spent his entire career working with credit unions. President and CEO of University Credit Union (Legacy) 32 years. President and CEO of Family Security Credit Union in Decatur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, and 2 grandchildren.

Tom is survived by Donna, wife of 44 years. Sons Michael (Stephanie), Kevin (Beth), Herb (Cynthia), Jeff (Tommie). Daughters Lisa, Deborah (David). And many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
