Thomas Duckett

Thomas “Tommy” Duckett, age 87, of Trussville went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2021. Tommy was born in Lakeland, Florida to Hughie and Bertha Duckett on October 3, 1934. He married the love of his life, Rosa on December 18, 1955. Tommy served in the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged in 1973.

Tommy was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, and his parents; his brother, James Duckett, and sister, Louise Perkins.

He is survived by his three daughters, Sherry Broadus (Charlie), Roma Lott (Bill), and Anita Singleton (Rob); his grandchildren, Robert Ladnier (Jordan), Michael Ladnier, Chris Hayes (Kasha), Christy Sanders, Alex Lott (Phoenix), Erica Hull (Keyton), and Brandon Singleton (Bree); great grandchildren, Gavin, Imyah, Jax, Rowyn, Lily, Blakely, Quinn, Asher, Teddy, Rebekah, James, Parker, Peyton, Presley,  Palmer and Kynlee.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, December 22nd at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. The funeral for Tommy will began at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. A committal service will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery. Brother Richard Aaron will preside over the service.
