Theodore Schiefer

Theodore Paula Schiefer went to be with our Lord and Savior Wednesday evening, July 8, 2015. Originally from The Netherlands, born in Rotterdam November 6, 1935, her husband Heinz Schiefer and she immigrated to the United States in 1960. Thea (ta'-ya), as she was affectionately known, was truly a remarkable and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to so many. A Registered Nurse by profession, she embraced with a passion her calling to care for others whether professionally or otherwise - such was the heart with which she lived her life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In particular, she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Heinz, her granddaughter Bebe Michelle Schiefer and her sister-in-law Tosca Harpe. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses; Robert (Leslie), Eric and Ronald (Colette), 9 grandchildren and their spouses, 10 great grandchildren and her wonderful brother Nico Harpe as well as countless other family members all whom she loved deeply. A memorial service will take place at Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Trussville Alabama Monday July 13, 2015 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family earnestly requests that Thea's memory be honored best by way of donations in care of Sodality, Holy Infant of Prague Catholic Church 8090 Gadsden Highway Trussville, Alabama 35173.
