Thelma Tipton

Thelma Marie Tipton, age 72, of Trussville, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015. She retired from United Chair in Leeds, after 34 years of service. She was an avid animal lover, who enjoyed traveling, reading, drawing, collecting dolls and attending yard sales. She was a hard working mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Mrs. Tipton was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Neil Tipton and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy D. Tipton; her son, Walter W. Tipton (Tracy); her grandchildren, Cassie Self, Jared Freeman, and McKenzie Tipton; her step granddaughter, Alexandria Smith; her step grandson, Joshua Casey; many brothers and sisters; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members. Graveside service will be held at 2pm at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East on Tuesday, February 3, 2015. A visitation will be held on Monday, February 02, 2015 from 6-8pm. Jefferson Memorial Trussville is directing.
