Thelma Gilliam

Thelma Delores Gilliam, age 85, of Birmingham, passed away on May 20, 2017. Ms. Gilliam was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, James S. Gilliam, Sr. and her brother, James L. Fordham, Jr. She is survived by her children, Lynn and Mike Fancher, Judy and David "Woody" Branch and James "Rusty" Jr. and Tracye Gilliam; grandchildren, Dana and Wayne Roberts, Jeff and Amy Fancher, Mandi and Jeremy Wilson, Matt and Erin Hays, Elizabeth and Logan Pate, Nathan and Karlee Gilliam and Jonathan Gilliam; her great grandchildren, Kristin Roberts and fiancAC., Andrew Newman, Marshall Roberts, Kayla Fancher, Zachary Roberts, Emilee Roberts, Carli Ann Wilson, and Cade Wilson, and Mason, Peyton and Ryan King; her great-great granddaughter, Blakelyn Newman. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Ms. Gilliam's caregivers, Delia Rowe, Kayla Fancher, Vanda Hicks, and Monica Clark. The family will receive friends at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on Wednesday, May 24th from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with graveside service to follow at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining gardens.
