Tessie Cook

Tessie Ree Cook passed away on May 4, 2014 at the age of 93. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Tessie Ree loved to spread the word of Christ. She was born and raised in South Alabama and resided in Springville, Alabama in her later years. She was a friend anyone could count on, and an uplifting prayer warrior like none other. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Cook, her daughter, Patricia Ann Cook, her parents, her brothers, Noah, JC, and Foy Taylor, her sister, Trudie Bee Moore, and her son-in-law, Paul Harrison. She is survived by her children, Winnie Harrison, Don Cook (Diane), Marilyn Jent (Gene), Sharon Etheredge (Joel) and Mark Cook (Vicki); 17 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; her brother, Billy; her nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at Faith Community Fellowship Church. Services will be on Friday at 10 AM at the church. Burial will be at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
