Teddy Hughes

Mr. Ted G. Hughes, 92, of Vestavia Hills, went to be with the Lord on August 26, 2018. Ted was retired from CSX Railroad and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hughes; son, Ronnie Hughes; and daughter, Cheryl Vaught. He is survived by his daughter, Teri Wood (Charlie) and grandson, Justin Anthony (Angela). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 10:00am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville with Reverend Jerry Mahner officiating. The family would like to thank Oasis Hospice, especially Belinda Rollins, Ivey Recasner, Diane Caver, and his caregivers, Tessy “Hey You” Moctezuma and Elizabeth Rojas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Church of the Highlands in Irondale or Argo Christian Fellowship in Trussville.
