Sydney Ellis

Sydney H. Ellis, age 73, died February 15 at Birmingham VA Medical Center. Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis, and two children, Gene and Chris Ellis. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, Jacob Ellis and Lola Ellis. Syd grew up in Birmingham where he served as a youth minister and attended Howard College before joining the Air Force. He reached the rank of staff sergeant and proudly served his country in Vietnam. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the Wounded Warrior Project.
