Steven Thomas Carroll was born on July 19, 1958, in Birmingham, Alabama and passed away after a long illness on September 15, 2021.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Truman Erwin Carroll, Nellie Maude Carroll, Edwin Eugene Swalley and Hazel Jones Swalley, his father, William Thomas Carroll and his brother, Gary Neal Carroll.
He is survived by his son, Derek Steven Carroll of St. Petersburg, FL, his mother Carolyn Swalley Travis, his siblings, William David Carroll, Kindle Walmsley {Anthony) Robinson, niece Haley Grace Robinson, nephew Roan Griffin Robinson all of Montgomery AL. As well as his uncle, Richard (Betty) Carroll Aunts, Gwen (Mark) Brightwell, Janice (Kenny) Williams all from the Birmingham area, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Steve was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama where he grew up loving Little League Baseball and competing in dirt bike competitions. Steve was a long-time resident of Tampa, FL. where he worked in the printing industry as a pressman. During retirement he enjoyed traveling, real estate investing and spending time outdoors Tarpon fishing on his Starcraft boat. Steve was an avid fan of Alabama Football and NASCAR.
Steve will be remembered for his fun-loving personality and will be forever missed.
Graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, AL on September 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Presiding will be his uncle, Frank E. Swalley, Willowbrook Baptist Church, Huntsville, AL
