Stanley R. "Stan" Kight

Stanley “Stan” R. Kight, Sr., age 68, of Irondale, AL passed away peacefully at his home on March 11, 2021. Stan joined the U.S. Army in August of 1971 and proudly served his county for 32 years. He was a Jump Master and served as a Master Sgt for over 18 years and was honorably discharged in April of 2010. Stan enjoyed watching Alabama football. He was a kind and generous person who was always willing to help others. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer James Kight and Imogene Lowery; three siblings, Gary Kight, Jimmy Kight and Joann Green; son, Joseph Scott Kight. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Kight; children, Stanley R. Kight, Jr., Thomas Lee Kight and Mandy Lynn Hubbard; and grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, Donnie Elmer Kight and sister, Brenda Honeycutt. The funeral for Stan will be held at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville on Tuesday, March 16th at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
