Sidney Nethery

NETHERY III, SIDNEY JOHNSON Passed away March 4, 2012, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Sidney Johnson Nethery, Jr., his mother Mrs. Juanita Childress Nethery, grandson Christopher Jay (C.J.) Starling, and in-laws Amos and Alline Shipp. He was retired from selling office and school supplies. After retiring, he returned to work part-time at Edwards Chevrolet and Courtesy Pontiac. Sidney was a member of First Baptist Church of Chalkville. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Shipp Nethery; daughters Kathy (Gary) Starling, Cindy (Terry) Crane, Nancy (Grant) Needham, and Melinda (Bill) Loggins; grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Patriarca, Kelsey Starling, Steven Crane, Patrick Crane, Jessica (Randall) Pelham, Rebecca Needham, Danielle Mabrey, Austin Loggins and Brandon Loggins; great-grandchildren Madison and Cooper Pelham; and special canine companion, Duke. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 10am-12pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home services will begin at 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Services will be conducted by Bro. Joel Farrow. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
