Shirley Rotenberry

Shirley Ann Burroughs Rotenberry, 73, of Pinson, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2017, following an automobile accident. Born Aug. 11, 1944, Shirley was a graduate of West End High School and University Hospital School of Nursing. She spent 40 years of her life caring for others as a registered nurse. Her career included work at University Hospital, St. Vincent's Hospital, East End Hospital Emergency Room, and American Cast Iron Pipe Company's Medical Department. Survivors include husband, Glenn Rotenberry, of Pinson, son, Jeffrey Rotenberry and wife Dianne, of Trussville, daughter, Amy Reeves and husband Chris, of Trussville, and grandchildren Mary Elizabeth Reeves, Gracie Reeves, Micah Reeves, and Ford Rotenberry. She was preceded in death by parents, Ola Dean Burroughs and Harold Burroughs, Sr., and a brother, Harold Burroughs, Jr. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
