Shirley Jones

Mrs. Shirley Jones, 80, of Trussville, passed away on December 28, 2016. She was born on June 12, 1936 to the late Matt and Bessie Munkus in Birmingham, AL. Mrs. Jones was a hairstylist for over 50 years, was a devoted member of Trussville Methodist Church, and the most important thing in her life was her family and church family. She is preceded in death by her brother, Stanley, and sisters, Betty and Jeannae. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Don, and son, Curtis. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with Reverend Bill Etheridge officiating.
