Shirley Frederick

Shirley G. Frederick, age 76 of Mt. Olive, AL passed away at her home on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was a native of Hayden, AL and a graduate of Tarrant High school. She was a member of Gardendale First Baptist. Shirley liked birds and tending to her flower garden, but especially loved crafts and baking. She was known for her infamous Christmas cookies she made every year, along with her gorgeous, handmade Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed visiting Gulf Shores and traveling with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester F. Henderson and Bertha L. Henderson. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, of 56 years, Dwade Frederick; her two children, Alan Frederick and Sandra Hicks (Scottie); her brother Curtis Henderson (Jean), of TN. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral for Shirley will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22nd at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Trussville. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Brother George Weeks is officiating.
