Sherman Haney

Sherman Lee Haney went to his permanent home to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, face to, face on Tuesday, November 1, 2016. He also joined his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth, as well as their son, Byron Lee that they lost at the precious age of 2 1/2 years of age. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Also welcoming him was his grandson, Brad Anthony Abbruzzo who went to be with the Lord three years ago; his parents, Veto and Mattie Smith Haney. Brother, Amos Haney, Louise Bettencourt and Tootsie Haney as well as loving brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He is survived by his daughter Donna Haney Cottingham, his grandson, Joseph Heath Abbruzzo, great grandson, Joseph Dylan Abbruzzo, Brother, Willie Green Haney, Sister-in-law, Bonnie Haney and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. His love for gardening gave him the opportunity to share his homegrown vegetables with too many people to count. His joy of giving made the hard work worthwhile. His morning consisted of reading his Bible and morning devotion. He always said how much God had blessed him. Mr. Haney was 87 years of age. He is at peace with his loved ones in Heaven but will be truly missed each and every day here on this earth. God Bless the life of this precious man.
