Shella Knighten

Shella G. Knighten, age 73 of Gardendale, AL, went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2012 after an extended illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a dear friend. She was a deviate Christian who loved the Lord and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Junior Knighten; daughters, Joni Takewell of Monroe, LA and Brenda Byrom of Gardendale, AL; sisters, Martha Boughton, Linda McDonald, Joan Loden, and Frankie Cotton; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5 to 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial with burial to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Ronald Foshee will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
