Shelia McKeever Morgan, 66, of Trussville, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Born February 22, 1954, in Jasper, Alabama.
She was the daughter of the late James and Opal McKeever. She was a 1972 graduate of Tarrant High School.
She is preceded in death by her brother Terry McKeever and the love of her life for 22 years, her husband, Doug Morgan.
Together they loved traveling across the United States, camping at Lake Guntersville, and spending time with family.They had so many adventures together, but Shelia’s favorite was Yellowstone National Park. She loved its natural beauty.
Shelia worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Downtown for 26 years and retired in 2002. She met some of her dearest friends while at BCBS.
Shelia is survived by her brother Larry McKeever (Claudette), sisters Melinda Hill (Danny), and Lisa O'Rear (Don). Her three stepchildren: Micah Morgan, Matthew Morgan (Allison), and Amanda Pair (Allen). She adored her six grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and her many great-nieces / great-nephews.
Shelia loved with every inch of her heart and was not afraid of showing it or telling you. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she knew.
The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on February 9, 2021, in the chapel at Jefferson Home Memorial in Trussville with a one-hour visitation before the service.
Private graveside service following.
Rev. Percy Byrd, Pastor of Oak Grove Baptist Church will officiate.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, friends may make a memorial contribution to the Fultondale Tornado Victims or a charity that touches your heart.
