Sharon Rayborn

Sharon Lee Rayborn, age 78, of Moody went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2021, surrounded by family. Originally from Kentucky, Sharon was proud of being a military wife, traveling the world, making lifelong friends, and being called honey, mom, mema, grandma, and oma. She had a zest for life that was contagious and was known for being an excellent cook. Sharon, a woman of faith, loved her family and friends dearly and celebrated 51 years of marriage with her beloved husband, CW4 (Retired) Robert Everett Rayborn (Bob). She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Robert Everett Rayborn, Jr. (Rob). She is survived by her children, Stephanie Smith (Ken), Ronald Rayborn (Barbie); daughter-in-law Amy Rayborn; grandchildren, Autumn Hope (Brandon), Robert Rayborn III (Robby), Adrienne Rayborn, Christopher Rayborn (Haley), Ryan Waters, Stephen Waters (Kimberly), Chrissy Carson, Sarah Carson, Danyal Rayborn, Kelsie Gibson, Meredith Rader (Dillon), Owen Gibson, Emily Blackwood (Dalton); and 9 great-grandchildren (Rayleigh, Rhylon, Reeselyn, Rheed, Addie, Emmett, Wyatt, Agnes, Olivia) with one grandson (Jude) on the way. She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on May 6, 2021 from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville with the Celebration of Life beginning at 11:00 am. A private burial service for family will be held afterward at the Alabama National Cemetery.
