Sharon Lamon

Sharon W. Lamon, 78, passed away on March 13, 2022, in Center Point, Alabama.

Sharon Lamon was born on August 29, 1943 in Birmingham, AL, to Virgil and Elizabeth Wadsworth.
Sharon was a graduate of Hueytown High School in 1961 and went on to enjoy her time in the publishing world as an administrative assistant for Oxmoor House.

Sharon married Larry Lamon on June 3, 1967 in Earnest Methodist Church. Although the couple had no biological children, they had countless nieces and nephews whom they adored and doted on over the years, and Sharon was another mom to them all.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Elizabeth Wadsworth, her husband of 46 years, Larry Lamon, their dog McDuffy, her oldest brother, Glenn V. Wadsworth, and her youngest brother, Jerry W. Wadsworth.

Sharon is survived by her sister Deborah Peoples (Phillip); her sister-in-law, Sharon Wadsworth; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Wadsworth; her two beloved dogs Zack and Nick; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved more than one could imagine.

A graveside service for Ms. Sharon Lamon will be held on Saturday, at 2 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
