Sara French

Sara Henderson French, age 73 of Moody, AL , she was born on November 16, 1943 in Eutaw, Alabama to Grady and Annie Laura Henderson passed away after a long battle with cancer on July 18, 2017. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerson French (Frenchie) and their three children, Kandi (David) Zackie, Jim (Shirley) French and Kim (Josh) Smith and 13 grandchildren, Johnathan and Noah Zackie, Matthew and Sarah Smith, Audrey, Jimmy, Allie Crimson, Avery, Anna Belle and Jase French, Elizabeth, Hillary and Victoria Hulsey. She is preceded in death by her son, infant French, her parents, Grady and Annie Laura Henderson and her sister, Dorothy Yeager. Sara worked in Radiology for 49 years. She did her schooling at Carraway and worked there for a short period of time. She then worked at East End and Montclair Hospital, before going to work at Princeton Baptist Medical Center, where she retired from in 2011 after 26 years as a supervisor of the Mammography Department. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Thursday at 12 PM in the chapel and the burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Pall bearers will be her sons-in-law, David Zackie and Josh Smith and her grandsons, Johnathan and Noah Zackie, Mathew Smith and Jimmy and Jase French. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
