Sandra Waine Sawyer

Sandra, our sweet mother, sister, Nana and friend stepped into heaven on March 25, 2020 to meet Jesus face to face and join her beloved husband Jim.  She will be missed by the family and friends who loved her.

Sandra was born on 9/25/39 and grew up in Pratt City, Alabama and was a graduate of Ensley High School.  She met Jim through a mutual voice teacher and was married to him for 42 years. She and Jim shared a love for music and sang together throughout their married life.   There was always a lot of love and laughter in their home.  She has been active in the choir at Wilson Chapel Methodist Church for many years as well as many other ministries.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents Ike and Wessie Waine and her husband Jim Sawyer.  She is survived by her children: daughter Allison Cambre, son Greg Sawyer (Kristie), grandchildren: Sawyer and Neil Cambre, Lily, Ben and Eli Sawyer; sister Laurie Hosmer (John) and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service on Wednesday April 1, 2020. We would love to invite you to a celebration of life at a later date.
