Sandra Larussa

Sandra Lennell Scarvey LaRussa, age 76, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 surrounded by her family. Sandra was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Frank Scarvey on November 27, 1944. She was the oldest of 13 children. Sandra was a life-long member of the catholic church; she attended both Our Lady of Lourdes and Holy Infant of Prague for 34 years. She was the co-founder of Paul’s Hot Dogs and Grill. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Martin Paul LaRussa; her three adoring children, Connie Ruggerio (Claude), Paul LaRussa (Dana) and Angela Taylor (Nick); thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; six sisters and four brothers; a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. The funeral mass for Sandra will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 14th with Father Vu presiding over the service. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral mass at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
