Sandra Lambert

Joyce Glenn Lambert, formerly of Arab, age 72, died Saturday, Aug 20 in Birmingham after an extended illness. She was a resident of Irondale, Alabama and had lived there for several years. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her contagious smile and positive personality influenced everyone she was around. She always had a smile and a kind word of encouragement to all people. Her home was always warm and welcoming to any and all who came. Upon retirement and rearing her family, she embarked on a journey that led her to management of many RV Resorts in the southeast where she met many people who became fast friends and who were always in contact regardless of where they might reside. She received many accolades for sponsoring tours and designing activities at each RV location eventually accepting responsibility for management of a network of RV Resorts. She loved fishing and always attributed this desire to her father C.G. She loved travel and in her last years she and loving partner-in-life, Mac McGuire, traveled to experience new destinations. She and Mac also enjoyed hosting their 3 generations of children often where snacks and special treats were always available. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, C.G. and Shelia Glenn, and brother, Charles Glenn. She is survived by her partner-in-life Floyd "Mac" McGuire; 4 children, Neal Lambert (Rhonda), Jennifer Lambert Dutton (Mike), Dean Lambert (Janet) and Jerry Lambert, brothers Robert Glenn (Dondi) and Wayne Glenn (Donna), sister-in-law Linda Glenn and a host of grandchildren great grandchildren and friends. Chapel services will be held on Tuesday, Aug 23, at 6pm with visitation from 4pm until 6pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to any of the following: The Kidney Foundation, Lung Assoc., Breast Cancer or Heart Association. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
