Sallie Fritz

Sallie McCann Fritz, age 70, of Birmingham, passed away on October 22, 2017. She was born in Birmingham to the late Albert T. and Lena D. McCann. She was a devout Catholic, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She was a graduate of A.H. Parker High School and Dillard University in New Orleans, LA. Mrs. Fritz was retired from Xerox Corp. in Palo Alto, CA. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Julia Fletcher, Selena Kimble, Albert Tommy McCann, and Priestly Fletcher. She is survived by her children, Sarita McCann Ruffin, of Lithia Springs, GA, Dorjan M. Fritz (Vanessa), of Pittsburg, CA, and Derek M. Fritz (Monique), of San Jose, CA; her grandchildren, Daria Fritz, Dorjan Fritz, Jr., Cameron Fritz, and Bryson Fritz; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 27, at 2pm in the Chapel of Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Sallie McCann Fritz to the American Stroke Foundation at www.americanstroke.org
