Sallie Brasfield

Sallie Viola Walker Brasfield, age 61, of Birmingham, AL passed into the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday evening Mach 27, 2019. Sallie was born August 26, 1957 to the late M.G. Walker, Jr. and Helen Roach Walker. Gifted with a contagious smile and laugh, Sallie grew up with family and friends at Eighty-Fifth Street Baptist Church in East Lake and was well known for her love of the Lord, as well as, her inward and outward beauty. She graduated from Brook Hill School and attended Samford University. She is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Terry Brasfield, and their son, Shane Michael Brasfield, and daughter Shannon Maleah Brasfield Solomon (Jonathan). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brianna Brasfield, Brayden and Kynlie Solomon; surviving brothers include Rex Gordon Walker (Dewana Green) and Randy Walker (Belinda). She left many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family, who all held her in highest regards. The family and friends of Sallie will gather to honor her with a celebration of life service begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3rd at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining cemetery.
