Ruth Lindsay

Arsula "Ruth" Lindsay, Beloved follower of Jesus, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Lindsay was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, (Huffman) Alabama. She was employed by Jefferson State Community College prior to her retirement in 1987. She was a lifelong member of Huffman United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Mary-Martha Sunday School Class and the UMW. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy H. Lindsay and her daughter, Sara Elizabeth Long. She is survived by her son Jerry Wayne Lindsay (Linda), daughter, Dale Lindsay Scott; her son in law, William "Tim" Long; grandchildren Jennifer Ann Williams (Adam); Lindsay Nichole England; Wayne Thomaston Long (Shelby); her great granddaughter, Katherine "Kate" Ruth Williams. A Celebration of Ruth's life will be held on Wednesday, April 29, at Noon with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. The family will receive friends and family from 11am until noon Wednesday.
