Ruby Wright

Ruby Nell Grace Wright, age 84 of Trussville, AL, left this world to be with her
personal Savior on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018. She was born to the late Titus Andrew
Grace and Nancy Barton Grace on Sep. 14, 1934. Ruby graduated from Walker County
High School in 1954 and went to work as a medical transcriptionist. She married
her high school sweetheart, Vernon Ray Wright on April 17, 1954 and they enjoyed
64 years together. After the birth of their children, Ruby was a devoted mother
and homemaker whose family was her passion. Survivors include her husband,
Vernon Ray Wright; her sister, Wilma Alexander; her daughter, Karen Wright
Shelton (Ronny); her son Steven Ray Wright (Pam); her grandchildren Leah Shelton
Reddick (Ross), Shea Shelton Mechaw (Shawn), Marshall Andrew Wright (Kyndra),
and Michelle Wright Terrell (Austin); and two great-grandchildren, Paxton James
Reddick and Kayleigh Grace Mechaw. Ruby was an active member of Ridgecrest
Baptist Church since 1963 where she taught 3rd Grade Sunday School for years and
worked in Vacation Bible School every summer. She was an avid reader and a
mighty prayer warrior. She leaves a legacy of love that will be missed dearly by
her family and friends.
