Roy Chandler

Roy James "Jim" Chandler, beloved husband of Judith Ann (nee Sullivan) Chandler. Loving father of Pam (Tom) Lumley, Julie (Manny) Rivero, Roy James Chandler III, Mary Angela (Tony) Cartisano, Cheryl (Tony) Ritzie and Deborah (Josh) Saho. Dear grandfather of Chad (Stacy) Quinn, Amy (Pat) Weber, Brittany Ritzie, Mitch Beckman, Danielle Porter, Robert Porter, Brandon Saho, Nick Saho, Austin Chandler, Nathaniel Cartisano, and Olivia Cartisano. Great-grandfather of Ava Quinn. Jim passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 at the age of 75. He loved to golf, fish, and work in his gardens. He was a retired high school teacher and coach, past NHFRA President, and Dean of IHFRA. Jim was a furniture sales rep for several companies for 28 years. Chapel funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Trussville. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00-2:00. Burial will be held in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Memorials may be directed to the Samford University Earl Gartman Scholarship Fund.
