Rosa Raughton

RAUGHTON, ROSA MARIA RODRIGUEZ It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved Rosa Maria Rodriguez Raughton of Trussville, AL who passed away on Sunday September 30, 2012 surrounded by her family. In 2003 Rosa was granted another nine years of life by receiving a liver transplant. She was born on May 12, 1948 in Del Rio, Texas to the late Jesus and Guadalupe Rodriguez. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 44 years Kenneth; her daughter, Kristina Raughton Wildsmith and husband Keith; granddaughter, Sydney; and son, Michael. Also surviving her are brothers, Alfredo (Rosie) and Ricardo (Elvira) Rodriguez of Fort Worth, TX; sisters, Amalia Rodriguez-Mendoza, Cecilia (Clark) Snyder, and Rebecca (Patrick) Medina of Austin, TX, Amelia (Carlos) Diaz of Del Rio, TX; brother -in-law, Donald (Linda) Raughton; sister-in-law, Martha Raughton (Late Pete Raughton); and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5-7pm with rosary starting at 7:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday October 4, 2012 at 2:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will be private for family.
