Rosa Harris

Rosa Lee Whittle Harris, 85, of Trussville, AL went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Rosa Lee was a devoted servant of the Lord for all of her life. She gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 5. She taught Sunday School and Children's Church at Alliance Christian, Huffman Assembly of God and Parkway Christian Church for more than 40 years. She was instrumental in developing the Children's Church programs at Huffman Assembly of God and Parkway Christian Church. She was a devoted, selfless, and loving mother and wife. She also worked with her husband to create a successful rental property and mortgage business. Rosa Lee always put other's needs before hers. She also dearly loved her grandchildren and attending all of their sporting events and activities. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Whittle, her husband, Irby Lee Harris and her son, Stephen Lee Harris. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted son, Daniel Scott Harris and his wife, Linda of Trussville, AL; sister, Wanda Robson of Trussville, AL; grandchildren, Daniel and Nicole Harris of Trussville, AL, Brian Harris (Ashley) of Fairhope, AL and Spencer Harris (Melise) of Birmingham, AL; daughter-in-law, Becky Harris; nephews, John "Dutch" Robson of Trussville, AL and Ralph Robson (Susan) of Trussville, AL; great niece, Carla Michelle Robson; great nephews, John A. Robson and Brent Robson of Trussville, AL; many other special nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 5 to 7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be on Monday at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Rev. Randy Smith will be officiating over the services.
