There was a grand celebration in heaven on January 9, 2015, as Rosa Mae Watson Duckett, age 77, entered into the realm of Glory. There to greet her were her beloved parents; Homer W. and Cornelia Watson, and her grandparents. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Thomas E Duckett; three daughters and their husbands: Sherry Broadus (Charlie), Roma Lott (Bill) and Anita Singleton (Rob); grandchildren: Robert Ladnier, Michael Ladnier, Christy Sanders, Christopher Hayes, Alex Lott, Erica Hull and Brandon Singleton; twelve great-grandchildren: Gavin, Imyah Beth, Jax, Rebekah, James, Quinn, Asher, Theodore, Parker, Peyton, Presley, and Palmer; her sister, Gwyn; her brothers, George and Johnny; numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosa was a faithful servant to her Lord, and a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother. She was approaching 60 years of marriage with Thomas. She loved to travel with friends and family. A gathering for family and friends for visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, January 13th at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville, AL. Burial will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Alzheimer's Association.
