CHADWICK SR., RONALD ALON "RONNIE"
Ronald Chadwick was born March 16, 1932 in Phoenix City, AL. Ronald passed away at the age of 81 on March 19, 2013. He was a resident of Center Point, AL. Ronald joined the U.S. Army in 1949 at the age of 17 and served with the 187th Airborne in the Korean War in 1950-1951. While in Korea he made both combat jumps behind enemy lines. He was awarded four Bronze Stars for major battles and a Bronze Spearhead. Upon his return he also served in the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard. Ronald was with A & P Tea Company for 27 years of service where he served as Produce Manager and was self-employed in Real Estate for 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Faye Dill Chadwick; sons, Ronald A Chadwick, Jr., David M. Chadwick (Becky) and Mark C. Chadwick; sisters, Greta Rector, Ree Parker and Derry Grant; brother, Minzor Chadwick; grandchildren, Jessica Hamrick, Laurel Hamrick and Mandy Chadwick; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minzor Zebedee Chadwick and Sarah Ingram Chadwick. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in Trussville, AL. In lieu of flowers please send memorials to Disabled American Veterans.
