Rodney Sherman

Rod J. Sherman went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 5, 2012 at the age of 73. He was led to his homecoming by his oldest son, Kyle E. Sherman who preceded him in death in 2005. He was a member and Deacon of Bethel Baptist Church in Moody, AL. He was the owner of Ma and Pa's Cleaners and worked at ADESA in Moody for the past several years. Rod is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marie Sherman; three children, Scott A. Sherman (Kim), Kevin Sherman (Nancy), and Sonja S. Oliver (Mike); daughter-in-law, Jill Sherman; grandchildren, Christopher Sherman, Amy Sherman, Heath Oliver (Laura), Courtney Sherman, Gwen Sherman, Leah Sherman, and Taylor Oliver. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5:30 - 7:00pm with services beginning at 7:00pm at Bethel Baptist Church in Moody. The family would like to welcome family and friends to his graveside service on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00am at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Bro. Chris Burns will be officiating. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
