Robert Walker

Clyde Walker Jr., "Dr. of Horticulture", age 87, of Birmingham, passed away February 4, 2010. He was a retired owner of Walker Realty and later employed by UAB Parking Deck. Through the years he was very active most recently at Five Mile Presbyterian Church, and earlier at Avondale UMC, and Woodlawn UMC. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving on the destroyer USS Mertz #691 during WWII and active in the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents Clyde Walker Sr. and Ethel Walker, wife Sarah Walker, and brother William Earl Walker. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, Feb 9, at 11am with burial in Five Mile Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Rev. Sharon Eich officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Five Mile Presbyterian. He is survived by his sister Mildred W. Lackey, brother Jack C. Walker, stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
