Robert Roby

Robert E. Roby was born on November 20, 1936 and passed away on December 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by Conethia Bentley Roby, his loving wife of 49 years, parents Carlos and Gladys Roby and brothers Wendell and Wayne Roby. He is survived by his daughter, Renae Roby, brother Carl Roby (Jane), brother-in-law, Bob Bentley (Sherrye) sister-in-law, Kay Bullock (Gary) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Robert was a long-time member and Deacon of Locust Fork Baptist Church where he also loved serving in the youth program and missionary trips. He was also a fundamental part in the construction of the new sanctuary. Robert loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He joined the US Army in 1959, was honorably discharged in 1962 and reinstated for several months during the Cuban missile crisis. After his military service, Robert went to work with the Alabama Power Co where he retired after 33 years of service. The funeral will be at 1:00 on Friday, December 17, 2021 at Locust Fork Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends from 12:00 till 1:00 There will be a graveside service following the funeral at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama.
