Robert Ragsdale

Robert L (Bobby) Ragsdale Sr., age 90 of Moody AL passed away December 25, 2015.

visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East Trussville AL on December 28, 2015 at 5:30 to 7:00 pm. Grave side service will be held December 29 at 2pm with Reverend Joe Joiner of Moody Baptist Church officiating. He was a member of Moody First Baptist Church Moody AL. A native of Birmingham having lived in Moody since 1979. He is the son of Lon and Sally Ragsdale, proceeding in death by his wife Betty Jean and sisters Doris Maddox and Lucille Lessman. He survived by his wife Frances Gaines Ragsdale, children Robert L Ragsdale Jr, Robbye Ragsdale, Reed Gaines, Carla Gaines, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Bobby, following his father in trucking and worked in the business for 75 years. He had several Trucking companies and enjoyed then immensely. The last company was with PTS Systems partnered with Bill Rutledge. They were a perfect team, working together for over 20 years. Bobby also loved the farm, fishing, horse riding, and cows. One of his farm moments was riding the golf cart and counting cows and watching the horses run. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Association and or the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. 758517 Topeka, KS 66675. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Princeton Hospital and Palliative Care center there for their support in his final days.
