Robert Meadows

Robert A. Meadows, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 15, 2017. He was a graduate of Auburn University, 1956, where he was a member of Delta Chi fraternity. Mr. Meadows retired after 37 years of service with Protective Life Insurance Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Ray Forman Meadows, his parents, Daniel L. Meadows and Clara L. Meadows. He is survived by his four sons, Daniel R. Meadows (Caterina), Gregory L. Meadows, Glenn F. Meadows and Robert A. Meadows Jr. (Mellissa), grandchildren Haley Malloy (Danny), Kasey Meadows and Courtney Meadows and two great-grandchildren Abby and Gavin, sister Anita Mason and brother-in-law Jason Mason of Alexander City. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The graveside will begin at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East with a one hour visitation prior. Reverend Larry Smith will officiate the graveside service.
